At HSI since 2013, Mr. Chaves founded the Credit practice, forming a sector-leading team and defining the investment strategy. In 2014, backed by the first vintage of USD 202 million, he originated and structured various transactions including the growth capital for the Madero restaurant chain, securitizations of payroll loans, and corporate loans.

Before joining HSI, Mr. Chaves worked at Banco Icatu, was Treasurer at Archer Daniels Midland, and founded Principal Partners, where he structured BRL 1.8 billion of high-yield transactions for global investors. In 2012, he sold the company to BTG and became the partner for the High Yield desk. He then became CIO at Banco Gerador, where he ran the treasury and investment banking activities until joining HSI.

At HSI since 2014, Mr. Guerra has extensive experience in corporate credit analysis, having participated in several M&A, project finance, and other credit transactions, including the analysis and monitoring of collateral. He leads a team responsible for analyzing and recommending transactions, from initial screening through structure optimization and liquidation.

Prior to HSI, Mr. Guerra was a portfolio manager at BTG, a partner at Principal Partners, and co-head of capital markets research at Banco Bradesco.

At HSI since 2014, Mr. Ferreira is responsible for the legal structuring of credit transactions. He develops the optimal structure for each transaction, leads the implementation and monitoring processes, and is an Investment Committee member.

Mr. Ferreira has more than twenty years of experience in structured finance in Brazil and the USA, involving a variety of fixed-income instruments, derivatives, and investment vehicles.

Before joining HSI, Mr. Ferreira was a VP in the fixed-income department of Banco Itaú BBA, a manager in structured finance at Unibanco, and a manager in KPMG’s consulting group.
